Psalm 33:3 - “Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy." Romans 12:1 - "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship."
Worship
Our primary goal as a Christian is to worship (love, bless, adore, honor) God. One of the ways we do this corporately is through music. Music moves the hearts of people (just think of different movie scenes!). Music also unifies - everyone is focused on the same attribute of God that you’re singing about, thereby creating a unity of the faith. And according to Scripture, God inhabits (dwells in, enthroned upon) His praises (see Psalm 22:3). Just like the pattern set forth in Scripture, we have singers and instrumentalists who lead the congregation in songs of praise and worship every Wednesday night.
Our vision as a worship team is to worship God with our whole hearts and usher in the Holy Spirit. To be examples of true worshipers and daily growth in our gifts and influence over students’ lives through the power of worship.
To encourage others to engage with God through worship and everyday life. We strive to exemplify a passionate walk with God as we encounter Him through life-changing experiences. To serve God upwardly, to serve each other inwardly, and to serve our mission outwardly. To reveal God’s glory, and rebuild God’s power in our youth here in Madison and beyond.
