Formerly known as "The Core" 12:11 Youth Ministries has changed our core identity based on a vision...
Revelation 12:11 - "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."
Victory is Theirs (ours) - Thank God that His Word does not leave the story of tribulation of the saints with their earthly demise, but loudly proclaims their ultimate victory through the blood of the Lamb. The "they" here are the Christians. When Jesus shed his blood on Calvary and became the perfect Lamb sacrifice once for all time, Satan was defeated.
I leave you with that as our new vision comes to life here at Madison, Wisconsin's Evangel Life Center! My name is Anthony, one of 12:11 Youth Ministries staff. God saw fit the need for a new website for our youth and parents as well as reaching out to youth and young adults in the Madison area (and beyond). On this site you can easily find all that you need to stay in touch with Evangel Life Center's 12:11 Youth Ministries. For any information you may need that you don't find here please see our contact page. Thank you for visiting and come back soon, we have much to sow as God is so good!
Thank you Lord for giving us this duty to serve you, to serve others. Lord your direction has led us to an amazing bunch of youth in need of you Jesus. Thank you!
hell has passion? we learn how this can be on "HELL SUNDAY"!
As i walked in the door Sunday morning I was aware that we would have a special service but what I didn't know was how well they prepared the church decor as well as atmosphere. I noticed that the entrance to the sanctuary looked as if it were an entrance to a haunted house! As I stood in line i was in awe of how well things were set up! Upon entering I remember thinking with a smile "wow Julie this is cool"... little did I know that she and the staff were not fooling around! With a shove Julie sad "Enter" - "Keep Moving!". I was thinking to myself "wow okay, hi to you too" when suddenly Sherry said "No Bibles!"... I thought okay well, what am i going to do and then... she ripped them from my hands. It was dark now... very dark (yes I mean, no lights). I felt a push and a voice "Enter" It was very hard to see but I was guided through a door and noticed how hot it was... i bet it was 90 degrees! There was very little light in the sanctuary so it was hard to see. We were seated and as I got more and more uncomfortable finally Pastor Clark seemed to just show up at the alter. I have never seen him so serious! He preached about hell.... did you know that Jesus preached twice as much of hell than he did of heaven?

With spring approaching quickly (wishful thinking) and "The Journey" classes starting up again I can't help but to be anxious for the next "Encounter Retreat"!! So I decided to revive this blog recalling last years amazing encounter with God!
Wow, what a weekend! It’s really hard to explain in words what this retreat was all about, but I’ll give it a shot. It starts out as a class that is offered at our church; Evangel Life Center in Madison. The class is called “The Journey”... its basic concept is revealing the “cross”. This is a foundation to your Christian walk, it introduces you to Jesus and what he did for us; the price he paid. Its main focus is a revelation of the cross, what the price Jesus paid actually bought! In the middle of this “Journey” course is a three day retreat called “Encounter”. At this retreat’s end we will have all encountered Jesus and find freedom at the cross. Yup... I did say three days and that's not three classes, its three days! Nineteen of our youth, Adam C. our youth pastor, and seven youth ministers spent three very powerful and trying days at a borrowed house in Stoughton (Thank You Ruth!).

The word "ambition" keeps coming up in my own prayer life and encounters/conversations with others. Defined as an "earnest desire for some type of achievement or distinction," ambition is a very fragile concept. Pauls tells us in Philippians that we are to "do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain…
Trust is a crazy thing; we have all been deceived or been a deceiver at one point. A clear conscience is key... 1 Timothy 1:19 - "Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith…
